Global Issues

The topic of global health covers a wide, vast range of issues from infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS and malaria to natural disasters and environmental health. Issues in the world of global health are gaining more national and international attention as the media is talking about a possible avian influenza epidemic and health disasters that result from natural catastrophes like the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia.

Global Health Connections cannot begin to touch upon every health topic that exists so we decided to select a few issues we thought are extremely pertinent to our lives and millions of lives around the world.
